Tabra Skylark, faerie Evoker

"Amusing. Now would you want to try that again, hmm?"

Subterfuge, political maneuvering and dark plots hatched to further one's family's station in the Seelie Court... Such are passions that govern the lives of the Faerie, an ancient and nigh-eternal race of fey who had found little else to while away their long lives with. That has been the case for countless millenia and thus will, in all probability, occupy their attentions in the future as well.

Tabra, youngest daughter of a faerie clan of middling influence, didn't find the intrigue all that interesting. In fact, she found it a trifle boring. There was only so much betrayal, backroom plotting, and scheming one could be exposed to after all, before one became jaded. And Tabra of Clan Skylark, despite her relative youth, had just about had enough of it. Of course at first, she couldn't find any other alternative; when one is born into a race that saw intrigue as a passtime, one would be extremely hard-pressed to think of anything else to do. Finding herself at a loss, Tabra meditated on the options open to her -- all of which seemed no better than her current situation, for they involved court intrigue in one form or another, which she definitely didn't want.

It was around this time that stories began circulating around the various clans of an enterprising faerie, who seemed to be making a name for herself on the Prime as an adventurer. When she learned more about this particular faerie -- a princess of her house, if the tales were to be believed --Tabra felt herself drawn to the faerie's exploits. Now, here was a faerie who knew what she wanted, she thought. Inspired, she decided that she would like to see the Prime. Certainly, it was far more preferable to where she was at the moment, what with all the scheming going on.

She couldn't have chosen a better time, as the Court began to relax the restrictions set concerning travels to the Prime. Seeing this as a sign that she had made the right decision, Tabra was among the first groups of faerie to wander the Prime worlds once more.

Tabra is no naive debutante; she's fully aware that the world outside of the Seelie Court is dangerous (as if the courts weren't dangerous enough). Still, she finds it imminently preferable than the intrigues she would find at home.

Standing a mere eighteen inches tall, diminuitive Tabra could very well stand in for an elf woman if she was any larger-- if not for the fact that she had golden antennae sprouting from her forehead, and a set of gossamer wings on her back. She possesses striking sapphire-hued eyes, sometimes hidden behind a pair of bifocals, and wears her lime-tinted hair in a short braid. In contrast to the faerie she idolizes, she wears full-skirted gowns on her travels, specially-tailored to be easy to put on and easier to take off.
